Baolis : The Lifeline of Delhi

A symposium was conducted on 15/5/2013 at  Amphitheatre in the school to generate   awareness among the students about the ancient hydraulic structures -
The Baolis in Delhi. 


The students were divided into 4 House wise groups with two students each-Achal, Ambar, Anal and Avni; where the students contributed by voicing their research work in the discussion that took place. 


Through this activity the  message of Heritage  Conservation was spread to the  students and the students learnt the ways through which the Baolis can be conserved.

Cherishing India’s freedom

Cherishing India’s freedom August 15, 1947  is the day engraved in gold in the history of India. It is the day when India attained its freedom from the clutches of a long slavery of over 200 years of the British Rule. It was a long and hard struggle in which many freedom fighters and great men laid their lives for our beloved motherland. To celebrate the 71st Independence Day and 75years of Quit India, the students of  Gyan Devi Salwan Public School celebrated the month of August as the Social Science Month. A plethora of activities were planned to celebrate our Independence, Our Heritage, Our beautiful Culture. Three Intra Class Activities were conducted from Classes VI-XI. Regarding students as active seekers of knowledge by throwing light on the multiplicity of history and cultural experiences that exists in India and in an attempt to wet student’s appetite for historical inquiry, the Dharohar club conducted activities like creating Dharohar membership cards, Dharohar song and pottery workshop in the month of April – May.
